Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill
I had the opportunity to smoke an R & J Short Churchill the other day. I received it from a reputable shop in Winnepeg, Canada. (Thomas Hinds Tobacconist). It was a beautifully wrapped, medium-reddish colored wrapper. There were no soft or hard spots felt when examining the cigar. It smelled wonderful....earthy and sweet, like R & J's should smell.
It lit very well, and burned like a champ throughout. The taste started out grassy with a hint of spice. Tobacco and sweet flavors were present after smoking the first third. The combination of flavors was awesome! I wonder if these cigars are receiving special attention from the Cubans since they are a new size.
I also received one of these cigars in a tube, which I plan on aging in my humidor for a while.
I would love to purchase a box of these and age them for a few years. However, the temptation to smoke them might be too great!
