Oliva Master Blend II 2005

We smoked some Oliva Master Blend II 2005 Churchills last night. It is currently one of my favorite cigars. The wrapper is a reddish-brown color, with a great tobacco smell. They are mild cigars with a strong taste and great aroma. The cigars produce a long, white ash, and a good deal of bluish-grey smoke. They have that old time tobacco flavor- I really enjoy the wrapper leaf that the Oliva's are growing. This cigar is not too strong, so it could be smoked in the afternoon after a light lunch. It has a straightforward tobacco taste, no sweetness or overpowering spiciness detected during the smoke. Everyone commented on the great aroma. I bought this box of Churchillson the internet for $160.00 from abnersworld. I wouldn't mind buying another box and storing it in my humidor. That way I would always have a great cigarto offer company!

Diamond Crown Maximus

I've smoked a few Diamond Crown Maximus cigars this past week, all excellent. Out of all the sizes I smoked, I think the Toro #4 was my favorite. It is a perfect 6 x 50 shape. The wrapper is a rich El Bajo Sungrown from the Oliva family's Ecuador plantation. It is a full bodied, complex cigar. This comes from the fact that the filler tobacco comes from the top corona priming of the plant, selected by Carlos Fuente Jr. They come packaged in nice wooden boxes, with beautifully decorated bands.

It is a medium bodied, rich tasting smoke. It is the kind of cigar you do not want to put down.
