cuban cigar

I also had the opportunity to smoke a Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro the other night. I had been looking forward o smoking this cigar for quite some time, and it did not disappoint.

The cigar measures 7 5/8 x 49. It was a silky colorado color, with a beautiful, oily wrapper leaf. The construction of this cigar was perfect. It burned perfectly, the aroma was a little green at first but it became a little more leathery and woodsy towards the middle. It wasa mikdto medium bodied smoke, well balanced with a rich, deep taste of tobacco.

I will certainly put this on my list of boxes to buy.

Punch

I had the opportunity to taste some Cuban Punch cigars the other day. I smoked a Punch Punch and a Punch Double Corona. The Punch Punch is a Grand Corona, 5 5/8 x 46. The Double Corona is just that, measuring 7 5/8 x 49. I was pretty disappointed with both cigars. Both were rolled very tight. In fact, the Double Corona was almost unsmokeable. A friend of mine will not smoke Punch cigars because of this problem.

The Punch Punch is a popular cigar among enthusiasts. The one I smoked started out mild, and grew in intensity as I smoked it, becoming a medium bodied cigar in the last third of the smoke. It had a mild, sweet aroma.

As for the Double Corona, I huffed and puffed for a long time, waiting for the draw to get better. It never did. Halfway through smoking the cigar I put it out. It was tasteless and very disappointing. I do not believe I will be smoking any more of these in the near future!
