Smoking $$$
I've been trying less expensive cigars lately in hopes of finding something I can include in my daytime smoke lineup. I tried a Cusano Xclusivo, Adan y Eva Robusto, J.L. Salazar y Hermanos Toro, a Peterson Gran Reserva Robusto, La Finca Robusto, and a Cuban Crafters Cameroon Torpedo. Except for different wrapper flavors (Cameroon vs Conn. Shade, etc) These cigars almost all tasted the same. Not one cigar grabber my attention and said "WOW!" I wouldn't purchase any of these cigars again. They we not bad cigars, they were just bland and unexciting. I might smoke one while mowing the lawn, but only if someone gave me a free one. So I'll be sticking to Casillas, Padron, La Gloria Cubana, and some of the other selections I have aging in my humidor.
I wonder how the Oliva Master Blends 3 will taste? I really like the M.B. 2. I purchased a box of churchill and torpedoes. Hopefully the 3's are just as good. Is it just me or is everyone now offering a "special" cigar? I hope we are not trending back to the days when everyone and their brother was rolling cigars. Way too much junk on the market back then. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens!
