Ashton VSG

I smoked an Ashton Virgin Sun Grown Tres Mystiques last night. It is a 4 3/8 x 44 sized cigar. There is a lot of hype surrounding these Ashton VSG cigars. So I approached this cigar with a lot of curiosity and expectation. The wrapper was dark and oily, and the construction was pretty good. The cigar was slightly spicy. It was easy to light, and produced a nice grey ash. The taste was pretty mellow, and it produced a lot of smoke for such a small cigar. I was expecting a much stronger, more flavorful cigar; maybe this cigars size affected the expected performance. I would call it a light cigar, with an exotic tobacco aroma. I don't know if I would buy a box of these. If someone gave me another one I would smoke it, but I wasn't overly excited about smoking another one.
